After the birth of our daughter, I decided I wanted to help other mothers have the same satisfying experience. I have chosen to be a doula because I am committed to making a difference, one birth at a time. Empowering women and guiding their partners through the birth process allows me to use my people skills, coaching talents, and intuitive nurturing abilities, while raising my young family. I thoroughly enjoy being a doula!

I am committed to providing support to women during their pregnancy and birth so they can have a wonderful experience. The birth experience is one of the highest anxiety producing things that a woman can do; it is impossible to predict or control how your experience will go. The theory is; that a mother who has a doula as additional support produce lower levels of stress hormones that women left alone or attended by inexperienced coaches.

I will accompany you throughout your pregnancy, labour, childbirth and postnatal care, providing you emotional support, physical comfort, and enhanced communication with your medical team.
Birthing Mothers Doula Services is a DONA Certified doula service. I completed my doula training through Doulas of North America (DONA). It is the most respected doula association in the world, providing courses and workshops to ensure a standard is maintained within the doula community. I am a proud member of The Calgary Childbirth Education and Doula Association and work along side them as a birth doula and childbirth educator.
Birthing Mothers Doula services has been supporting families and pregnant mothers in the Calgary, Alberta and surrounding area since May 2008.
